I have been employed in both a small and medium-sized public accounting firm, both based in New York City for the first five years of my professional life. My experience included all facets of public accounting from client write-up and auditing through financial statement and tax return preparation. I went into the private sector in 1986 as controller of a mid-Westchester County construction firm where I was in charge of all financial aspects of the company. In 1989 I started my private accounting practice.
